I'm trying to convert an old family recipe. I believe the recipe is from 1960. Below is the recipe. My problem is, since 1960 the size of cans and bottles have changed. I'm not sure what the conversion is from 1960 to 2002.
Here is the recipe. I'm hoping someone will read this and give me some suggestions.
1 box chili tepines (Is this crushed chili? maybe about 1/4 cup?)
1 TBSP Oil
1/4 tsp. celery Salt, 1/4 tsp. Garlic Salt
1 large can tomato Sauce
1 bottle catsup
1/4 tsp. chili powder
pepper sauce or vinagar to taste (2 oz)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp worchester sauce
1 small can tomato puree
2 craushed bay leaves
1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce
1 tsp. soy sauce
Bring to a boil. Let simmer 15 minutes. Cool.
confused in the kitchen (smile)
