As the saying goes...
"What weighs more? A pound of feathers or a pound of lead?" ;-)

It all depends on the density of the ingredient.

Click below and enter an ingredient like salt for example, and hit enter. Then go back and enter something like sage.

You will get a measure (volume) as well as weight (grams).
FYI, there are 28.35 grams to an ounce and 453.6 to a pound.
