Hey, Odis, how you doing? Here is a photo of the apparatus I put together, in the spirit of scavenged parts and cobbled assemblies. 3/4 hp electric motor, hinged so that tension can be put on belt to the grinder by means of large wingnut to right and behind motor, eliminating belt slippage. Works great except that my grinder rubs at about 4 o'clock when everything is tight and I simply cannot troubleshoot it to keep it from occassionally locking up. I'm after something that spits grind across the room, banks it off the wall and into the meat lug.

Have not made a move yet, but have smoked about 125 lbs of various sausages so far this fall. More scheduled for the weekend.
