Did you ever make your slim jim type product. I think you would be happier with the final product in collagen casings but you are right that it is hard to push it into a small casing. I have some collagen casing for the slim jim type product but I do not know what kind of pumping device or stuffing tube you would have. There really is no need to soak the casings - it is moisturized to the proper point. Let me know how it all worked out !
